CANCELLED
Dear Team: after much deliberation and prayer and discussion with Bishop Gary, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Diocesan Convention due to COVID-19. We want to assure you that your registration will be fully refunded. We are working with the hotel on cancellation issues and will update you as soon as we come to a resolution.
Thank you for your understanding,
Christa

Sister Susan Scott has been a member of the National Implementation Committee since 2018 leading the work on Goal Two of the Strategic Plan focusing on increasing members’ knowledge of Catholic Social Teaching, advocacy for the vulnerable, and cooperating with other faith organizations and government in our advocacy efforts. Sr. Susan has been active in her CWL Council at Parkland Holy Trinity in Spruce Grove, Alberta and is currently a member of the Edmonton Diocesan executive. Sr. Susan’s companion, Hozhoni, helps her slow down and relish in the gifts of God’s Creation as she is the best listener and only interrupts her at mealtimes.
Most Reverend Gary Gordon is Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Victoria. Bishop Gordon’s care for the people and homeless is reflected in his motto ‘Communio’ as he advocates for and supports social justice concerns. Leading by example, he established a shelter for the homeless at St. Peter’s in Nanaimo where he is current chaplain. Bishop Gary and his faithful companion, Merlin, spend many hours travelling the Diocese as he weaves a tapestry of faith in the fabric of all those entrusted in his care. As always, Bishop Gary will continue to challenge us to step outside our comfort zone.
Pat Nichol is a speaker and writer whose presentations have taken her through most of Canada, the US and other parts of the world for the past 30 years. She has gained an appreciation for the beauty that surrounds us, the people that we have an opportunity to interact with and to that end, has learned to share the knowledge that others have shared with her. Living joyfully and courageously in her third act, she writes a monthly column in Inspired Living Magazine. She walks her talk of living courageously as she sold her house and most of her possession several years ago and now travels and house/pet sits. Pat will share her thoughts on Living Vibrantly.
Other special guests will be Doreen Gowans, National 2nd Vice President and Chair of Communications and Gisela Montague, President, BC/Yukon Provincial Council.
