As we approach the holy day of Christmas, let us prepare our hearts for this event that redeems and restores our soul, our life, and our hope.

Members of the Church of the Ascension Parish Council (Parksville, British Columbia) known as the "Kitchen Angels" recently prepared perogies, the Council's best selling item, for the annual Fall Bazaar.

On Tuesday October 16, 2018, more than 50 CWL members from Councils across the Diocese met at Trinity Catholic to listen, share, sing and pray for those who suffered sexual abuse at the hands of priests and Bishops, and for those clergy who needed our prayers and forgiveness.

The Moose Hide Campaign is a grassroots movement of Indigenous and non-Indigenous men and boys who are standing up against violence towards women and children.Wearing this moose hide signifies your commitment to honour, respect, and protect the women and children in your life and to work together to end violence against women and children.The Moose Hide Campaign was co-founded by Raven and Paul Lacerte who live in Victoria. This Campaign has spread across Canada.  

On Tuesday, September 11, 2018, St. Patrick’s (CR) Catholic Women’s League voted to put aside $1,000 to help serve meals to Campbell River’s homeless and those in need through ‘Grassroots KindHearts’.
