In late February, members of the BC & Yukon Provincial Council Catholic Women's League met with the Speaker of the House to present Resolutions to Legislature.

Present from the CWL were: President Evelyn Rigby, Powell River; President-elect Gisella Montague, Chilliwack; Resolutions Chairperson Sharon Geiger, Salmon Arms; Legislation Chairperson Blanca Stead, Cowichan Valley.

Resolutions that were presented: Protection of Freedom of Conscience for Healthcare Workers; Hospice and Palliative Care; Banning the use of Neonicotinoid Pesticides; National Standard for Newborn Screening including Screening for Severe Combined Immunodeficiency; and the motion: Enforcement of Protection of Communities and Exploited Persons Act.
