AND NOW FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT: ST. EDWARD'S CWL PLANTS DAFFODILS!

Our CWL Council at Saint Edward’s Church, in Duncan, B.C., recently celebrated the 100th Anniversary of our League on November 23, 2020 by planting one hundred King Alfred daffodil bulbs! Now, that’s a lot of work, so the Queen of Angels kindergarten class came out to help plant them. Talk about a lot of energy and enthusiasm!

Their teacher, Mrs. Brenda Hennig (left) and other worker bees Jim, Tita, Julie and Val are shown in the photo along with the students. Jim led the group in prayer and then all joined in singing “This Little Light of Mine”.

It was a sunny day and it is difficult to figure out what was brighter; the sun or the smiles on these eager children.

It will be interesting to see the smiles of students, teachers, parishioners and our league members when they see these beautiful daffodils in front of the school come spring.
