This year the Church of the Ascension CWL Council celebrated its 80th Anniversary with a colourful Fashion show luncheon, launching a year of celebrations to come!

Tuxedo-clad Knights of Columbus escorted the ladies to their tables, and served coffee and tea. Stunningly beautiful outfits from Close to You in Parksville were modelled by CWL members.

As a special tribute to our 80th year, we asked 3 members who were also celebrating their 80th birthdays to be our special guests: Carol Low-Hykaway, Dea Kern and Mary Sheil.

A medley of 1930s songs was played by Sarah Wood, and everyone heartily sang along.

Some of the proceeds from the show were given to Violet Hayes as a donation for the Oceanside Crisis housing group. Thanks to all who helped behind the scenes, in front of the scenes, and all who attended, making this annual event another huge success.
