“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair ...”
St. Patrick CWL in Victoria Delivers Loads of Cookies!
The members of St. Patrick’s CWL Council (Victoria) may not be able to cure COVID 19, but they certainly know how to spread Christmas Cheer around to their isolated League sisters. Our gang at St. Pat’s cooked up a mess of cookies and distributed them along with Catholic calendars and prayer books to our isolated people at their houses and nursing homes. Berny did the baking and packaged them up professionally while Susie N. and Nancy S. delivered them.
Way to go, St. Pat’s and thank you, Lorrie V. for sharing this with us!
AND NOW FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT: ST. EDWARD'S CWL PLANTS DAFFODILS!
Our CWL Council at Saint Edward’s Church, in Duncan, B.C., recently celebrated the 100th Anniversary of our League on November 23, 2020 by planting one hundred King Alfred daffodil bulbs! Now, that’s a lot of work, so the Queen of Angels kindergarten class came out to help plant them. Talk about a lot of energy and enthusiasm!
WHO AM I? WHY AM I HERE? WHAT'S FOR LUNCH?

TRINITY CWL IN NANAIMO BC KEEPS CONNECTED!
The CWL members at Trinity Church in Nanaimo BC certainly know how to “take lemons and make lemonade”! Even though the current epidemic keeps people apart from family and friends, this group of strong women have found a way to get together in a natural setting far more beautiful than any church basement or room. As you can see from the photo, these members are enjoying each other’s company and friendship on a truly beautiful day. Good going, Trinity CWL and keep overcoming these trying times.
